LONDON, United Kingdom —The first British online Viagra user to register for the British National Formulary was a 14-year-old boy from the UK. He said he was taking a "dumbed" drug called "Viagra" in the hopes of achieving a "super-high", the website claims.
The little guy went on to become one of the most famous and widely recommended sex-enhancement drugs in Britain.
"I'm still a teenager and I think the thought of going on this internet site was really painful," he said.
"It's not something you think you're going to have a chance at, it's something you just get ripped off."
He was also one of several UK-based male users of the drug, as well as a 14-year-old girl.
"Viagra was the only thing that helped me," said the girl, who gave him a thumbs-up on his prescription for the drug.
"I'm now 18 and the thought of going on this internet site was really painful," she said.
The boy's mother, Mrs Medby, said he was in a state of disbelief when he first heard about the online "super-high".
"I didn't know what was going on with that little guy and it was devastating to hear he was doing something that could help his family," Mrs Medby said.
The little guy started taking the drug in his body, with doses ranging from 25mg to 50mg, in hopes of keeping him from ejaculating.
The online doctor, Dr Andrew Webb, said the drug was effective and was generally well-tolerated. The boy's mother said he was lucky to be given the medication.
The online doctor said the boy's parents were keen to avoid any social stigma or embarrassment, but he was "very distressed" by the reaction.
"I'm not a fan of social stigma," Mrs Medby said.
Dr Webb said the internet site did not provide a "super-high" but he did not believe it was a "real" product.
He said the British online market was "a big, big thing" and that the government was working to develop laws to regulate online pharmaceuticals.
But Mr Webb said the online market would not be a substitute for the needs of a family and it would be a "new chapter" in British healthcare.
He said that the drug was a "solution" for a "strong" man who would use it for sexual enhancement but had a "hardest time" trying to reach a man with a partner.
Mr Webb said that he believed the online market was "a new chapter" in the UK's healthcare system but he did not believe the government was doing anything to change the way in which healthcare was developed in the UK.
"I do think the government's decision to develop laws to regulate the online market has been very clear, and I believe that it is the only way to change that, not that it was a bad decision, but it has made the situation very much better," he said.
He said it would take a lot of time to get this right.

Pfizer has been selling its patent-protected erectile dysfunction (ED) medicine Viagra, which is not to be confused with the brand name Levitra. It is the product of Pfizer, which manufactures the brand-name version of Viagra and is sold under various brand names and generic medicines. Pfizer had already received approval for Viagra in June 2000 from the U. S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Pfizer’s Viagra, manufactured by Pfizer, is an erectile dysfunction drug that Pfizer had hoped would become available by the end of the decade. However, according to its patent, Viagra is not “the drug of choice in the U. S.” As a result, Pfizer may not be able to get it to market quickly enough.
